Gentle Yoga increases and maintains mobility while guiding participants through a mindful practice. This class consists of slow, basic yoga postures, breath work and relaxation. Practitioners will be seated on the floor, in standing positions and lying down – often with the use of props. The ability to get up and down from the floor is required. Appropriate for beginners to seasoned practitioners alike.

The purely Restorative Yoga class will consist of using a host of props to settle into profoundly relaxing, meditative poses. Held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, supported forward folds, gentle backbends and relaxation poses. There may only be 4-10 poses in one class and each is designed to calm and completely rest your body and mind. No prior yoga experience is needed. The ability to get up and down from the floor is required.

Relax & Restore is a great balance to the fast pace of life. Gentle movement accompanies poses that are held for extended periods of time, often with the support of props. A combination of gentle flow, yin and restorative, this class is wonderful for anyone who needs a recharge – including athletes who have had energizing workouts throughout the week. All experience levels will benefit from these classes and no prior yoga experience is needed. The ability to get up and down from the floor is required.

Steady Flow provides a more introductory pace for those who are active, but new to the vinyasa style. More alignment direction is offered during this class than in the faster flow classes. The class includes some challenging poses, but at a slower, more mindful speed than our Vinyasa classes. No prior vinyasa experience is necessary and active beginners are welcome.

Steady Flow II: Much like the regular Steady Flow, this class has fewer fast-paced vinyasas, or flows, and poses are often held for longer periods of time. This is a unique class in which Glen shares his story-telling magic and includes more advanced postures like forearm balances and shoulder stand variations. Breath work is a large focus and final relaxation is extended. Steady Flow II will increase your endurance and allow you the space to advance your core postures. Some prior yoga experience is recommended. To fit in the mindful stories and extended time in postures this class is a bit longer at 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Vinyasa classes are invigorating, steady movement classes designed for those with a good foundation of yoga experience. The poses are adjustable to skill level and child’s pose is always a sweet refresh option, but students should be prepared to sweat through the classes and have some prior experience with yoga. Expect a faster pace with ample transition flows that incorporate some challenging postures. Vinyasa affectively gets you out of your mind and into your physical practice. There is time to be athletic as well as to unwind.
