Prepare the body and mind for labor, delivery and motherhood. Yoga poses, breath work and meditation designed specifically for pregnant women will promote strength, flexibility, good posture, and stress relief. Prenatal yoga is a wonderful way to connect with your baby, calm your mind and prepare your body for birth. This class is further intended to support mothers and build community. No prior experience is necessary, but do check in with your doctors to get their approval throughout.
The Instructor: Louise has trained with Mamaste Yoga and taught prenatal yoga in Hawaii, Florida and now in Oregon. She spent several years with an organization which works to improve the health and well being of pregnant women, infants and young children. This allowed her to work with a diverse range of pregnant women; many in high risk situations. Louise practiced yoga through both of her pregnancies. She especially felt the benefits of prenatal yoga during her second pregnancy as she prepared for a VBAC.
