Shanti began her career as a yoga educator in 2007. She is a 500hr. E-RYT. She began her own practice as a child learning from her parents who were deeply influenced by the eastern philosophies of health and well being, Shanti has spent the last ten years strongly committed to sharing her understanding and experience of yoga with many people. The practice is her passion. Whether educating in a group setting, private lesson, or retreat, the transformative experience that yoga offers has inspired her over and over again both to educate and to practice.
In these modern times, Shanti has found the tools that are built into the yoga practice to be extremely effective in managing health mentally, physically, and emotionally. The joy of sharing her own experience of these benefits is what she draws on in each class she leads.
Shanti is dedicated to holding a space for people who are interested in exploring their own unique expression of yoga. Physically, she creates sequences that support the development of both strength and flexibility. Mentally, she weaves the dynamic breath practices that are fundamental in yoga to develop the ability to focus and calm the mind. Emotionally, it is her highest hope that anyone feels secure and confident in their personal practice.
