Heather has practiced yoga in Eugene since 1995 and has learned from some of the best teachers in town as well as around the country and world. In 2007 she earned her RYT 200 certification in Hatha Interdisciplinary (drawing from multiple lineages for what is now largely known as Vinyasa) and is now an Experienced RYT and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider. She formulated the vision for Mudra while a full time working mom. She envisioned Mudra as a hip studio with shorter length classes that allow one to get an inspired yoga practice in and move along to the other great life practices off the mat. Heather firmly believes in the power of yoga to strengthen the body and mind, build resiliency, heal trauma, increase joy and to provide steadiness in a fast-paced world. Building a sense of community and belonging by practicing at a dedicated yoga studio heightens these benefits. She enjoys teaching a practice that combines fluid sequences, challenging postures and relaxation that leaves students feeling refreshed, motivated and balanced.
